Why do men taunt women with the verse "Indeed, their cunning is great," as if it were a characteristic that applies generally to them, to the exclusion of men? And is that verse generalized to all women? And why is it said that most of the inhabitants of Hell are women? And what about the reciprocal responsibility upon men to lower their gaze and to be just in rights?
A woman is obligated, just like a man, to what Allah has commanded and forbidden. They are equal in reward and punishment, as Allah Almighty says: "Whoever does righteousness, whether male or female, while he is a believer - We will surely cause him to live a good life, and We will surely give them their reward [in the Hereafter] according to the best of what they used to do." [An-Nahl: 97]. Nothing is exempted from this except what the Wise and All-Aware has explicitly stated.
