Can Satan embody a stone, and is the Hadith true in which it was mentioned that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, ordered a stone to be removed from the house because it was a devil, and does this necessitate doubt in every stone or tree?

There is no objection to the devil appearing in the form of a stone or a tree, for he has the ability to appear in various forms, such as humans, beasts, and birds. Sheikh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah mentioned that jinn can take the forms of humans and animals, citing the devil's appearance to Quraish in the form of Suraqah on the Day of Badr. However, a Muslim should not doubt every stone or tree and believe it to be a devil, as this instills obsessions and fear.
