What is the religious ruling on a girl resorting to lying in order to marry a religious young man, and is her marriage considered void?
Lying leads its perpetrator to wickedness and the Fire, and it is not permissible for a Muslim to resort to it except out of necessity. As for a woman offering herself to a righteous man, it is permissible, and some female companions (Sahabiyat) and righteous women did so, as Allah Almighty said: "Indeed, I wish to marry you to one of these two daughters of mine." If the marriage fulfills the conditions and is free from impediments, then it is a valid marriage.
