Is the Sa'i (mas'a) area considered part of the Sacred Mosque (Al-Masjid Al-Haram), is it permissible for a menstruating woman to enter it, and is the salutation of the mosque (tahiyyat al-masjid) obligatory for one who enters it from the direction of the Sa'i?

The Masaa (the path between Safa and Marwa) is not part of the Masjid (Sacred Mosque), as there is a separating wall between them. This is better for a menstruating woman, as she can perform the Sa'y after the Tawaf (definition) even if menstruation begins, because the Masaa is not part of the Masjid. As for the salutation of the Masjid (Tahiyat al-Masjid), it is preferable to pray it upon returning to the Masjid after the Sa'y, but there is no sin upon one who omits it.
