The answer

We pray to Allah that He has chosen for you what is best. Marriage should not have been rejected due to furnishings or dowry, for Islam called for the easing of dowries. If you wish for him to return and you agree to him, consult your family and present the matter to them. There is no harm in presenting the matter directly to him or through one of your relatives. Alert your family to the importance of not exaggerating the dowry in the future. Leave behind sorrow and regret over what has passed, for perhaps it is good for you, as Allah Almighty said: "But perhaps you hate a thing and it is good for you; and perhaps you love a thing and it is bad for you. And Allah Knows, while you know not." (Al-Baqarah: 216). Turn to Allah and ask Him to bless you with a righteous husband.
