And is it possible for the children to separate him from his mother and provide him with special care using his own money?

The mother must be obeyed in her son's marriage to the maid if it is highly probable that his best interest will be served. However, if harm is feared, obedience is not obligatory. It is advisable to try to convince the mother of his marriage to another wise woman who understands his condition and can address his psychological problem.
