Does "Al-Namṣ" mean removing facial hair in general, or is it limited to removing eyebrow hair, and what is the evidence for that?

An-Nams in the Arabic language means plucking hair.

As for its meaning among scholars, there is a difference of opinion. Some say it is plucking facial hair. Others say it is removing any facial hair by any means. Still others say it is specific to the eyebrows, and this is how many contemporary scholars have interpreted the hadith (prophetic tradition) that mentions it. According to this view, the prohibited nams is specific to the eyebrows and not other areas.
