Is every type of love considered a blessing from Allah, meaning does a person's love for their friend fall into the lover's heart because of the friend's qualities, or can love occur even without the presence of these qualities?

Everything a servant receives in this world is sustenance from Allah Almighty, and this includes people's love for him. Allah provides the servant with the means through which he acquires this love, such as faith, righteous deeds, and good character. Allah's wisdom necessitated the linking of causes to their effects. Allah Almighty says: "Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds – the Most Merciful will appoint for them affection." This means that Allah will place love for them in the hearts of His allies and the inhabitants of the heavens and the earth, which facilitates their affairs and brings them good things, as stated in the authentic Hadith that when Allah loves a servant, He places acceptance for him on earth. Their faith and righteous deeds are a divine grace from Allah, and they are the reason for their being loved by His servants.
