Will the person who was killed have a claim against the one who paid the youths to kill him, without participating with them, or will the claim be only against the killer youths on the Day of Resurrection?

The one who orders killing or beating is a sinful aggressor and bears the burden of those whom he misleads, for Allah Almighty says: {That they may bear their own burdens in full on the Day of Resurrection, and some of the burdens of those whom they mislead without knowledge. Unquestionably, evil is that which they bear.}

Whoever calls to misguidance will have upon him the same sins as those who follow him. And if a sin is committed and the one absent from it is pleased with it, he is like one who witnessed it. And whoever orders another to kill, they are both partners in sin. The proof for this is the saying of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "If the inhabitants of the heavens and the inhabitants of the earth were to unite to kill a Muslim, Allah would surely cast them all on their faces into the Fire."

This act is one of the gravest sins; because if he holds a chaste woman for someone to commit adultery with her, or holds a Muslim for someone to kill him, the harm of that is greater than the harm of devouring an orphan's wealth.

Whoever is afflicted by this should strive in repentance and increase in righteous deeds. And if the killer repents and reforms, it is hoped that Allah will make the slain one pleased with him on the Day of Resurrection. For the right of Allah is waived by repentance, and the right of the guardian is waived by retribution, reconciliation, or forgiveness, and the right of the slain one will be compensated by Allah on the Day of Resurrection through His grace, the Exalted.
