Does the reward for prayer in an Islamic center equal the reward for prayer in mosques, and is it permissible to perform اعتکاف (i'tikaf) there?

I'tikaf is only valid in a mosque, and performing prayer in an endowed mosque is better than performing it in a prayer hall. The term "Islamic Center" in the West is used to refer to a mosque where the five daily prayers and Friday prayer are performed, or to a mosque along with its affiliated facilities such as shops, offices, administration, and an Islamic school. Thus, the Islamic Center is a broader concept than the mosque, and the mosque is a part of it. Prayer and I'tikaf in a mosque that is part of an Islamic Center are like prayer and I'tikaf in other mosques.
