Will God forgive a married woman who lied to her mother with an oath to avoid punishment? Will her mother's imprecation against her come true? And is there still hope for her to marry the one she loves?

Swearing falsely to avert harm is not Islamically prohibited. Obedience to the mother is not obligatory in her refusal of a suitor without valid reasons. One can seek help from others to persuade her gently, accompanied by prayer. A mother's prayer against her child is not answered except in the case of a severely disobedient child. Communication with the young man is not permissible without need, as it is a cause for temptation and corruption.
