Is a Muslim sinful for the minor actions resulting from self-talk, given that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: "Indeed, Allah has overlooked for my Ummah what they talk to themselves about, as long as they do not act upon it or speak of it"?

One must strive against the self to abandon negative thoughts and not be carried away by them. A person is held accountable for actions resulting from these thoughts if they are done by their will and choice, such as unlawful looking, unlawful listening, or masturbation, because these are not forgivable actions. Therefore, blocking the door to these thoughts and closing the path to these ideas is the most preferable and has the best outcome.
