Do daydreams that involve imagining close relationships with non-Muslims and imagining success in foreign countries constitute a form of disbelief (kufr) or something forbidden (haram)? Do they indicate Allah's wrath, especially given that they occur without the person's will? And does the principle of not being held accountable for imagination and daydreams apply to them?

Mere imaginations are not blameworthy, unless a person speaks or acts according to what is forbidden among them; based on the Prophet’s (peace be upon him) saying: "Indeed, Allah has forgiven my nation for what they merely think, as long as they do not act upon it or speak of it." One should not dwell on these imaginations, and should occupy free time with what benefits them in this world and the Hereafter.
