Is it forbidden to imagine having a husband, children, and future life situations to find comfort and patience, whether in Ramadan or at other times?

Daydreaming is not forbidden unless it leads to a religiously prohibited act like masturbation. It is, however, recommended for a wise person to avoid it and occupy their time with what benefits them in their religious and worldly affairs. Guarding one's thoughts (khawatir) is very important, for thoughts are the origin of good and evil. He who attends to them masters himself, and he who disregards them will be led to ruin. Repeated thoughts can turn into false hopes, like {a mirage in a lowland which the thirsty one deems to be water until, when he comes to it, he finds it nothing and finds Allah before him, and He will pay him in full his due; and Allah is swift in account} [An-Nur: 39]. False hopes are the capital of bankrupt people and the sustenance of an empty soul. They are harmful and arise from incapacity and laziness, leading to negligence, regret, and remorse.
