Is the presence of spider webs in the house a cause of poverty? And what are the causes of poverty for which there is authentic evidence?

The statement that spider webs cause poverty is a baseless superstition, and the hadith narrated about it is very weak. The causes of poverty are numerous, among them: committing sins and abandoning piety, lack of reliance on Allah, and failing to take the necessary means and strive for sustenance. Among the legitimate means to increase provision are: seeking forgiveness (istighfar), maintaining kinship ties, increasing charity, fearing Allah (taqwa), performing Hajj and Umrah frequently, and supplication (du'a). Ultimately, the decree of Allah and His absolute will remain in expanding or constricting provision.
