Is it permissible for a Muslim to ask Allah for matters related to Paradise and this world, such as requesting offspring in Paradise, or a gender change in Paradise, or marriage to a specific person in Paradise, knowing that the nature of Paradise may differ from that of this world, and that Allah said: "Call upon Me; I will respond to you"?

A woman's supplication to be a man in Paradise, or vice versa, is forbidden for two reasons: First, because it contradicts the Almighty's saying: (And do not covet that by which Allah has made some of you excel over others). This includes wishing for the characteristics of the opposite sex. Second, because it is an transgression in supplication, which is forbidden by His saying: (Indeed, He does not like transgressors). It is not befitting for a believer to preoccupy oneself with such supplications. As for supplicating for children in Paradise, there is no harm in it, due to Allah's general promise to the people of Paradise that they will have whatever they desire. Even if there is no pregnancy or childbirth, Allah is capable of creating offspring for them.
