If you are not certain about the impurity of a garment, the default is that it is pure and remains so until you are certain of its defilement. However, if you are certain of its impurity, it remains impure until you are certain of its purification. If the impure garment is dry and mixes with dry clothes, the impurity does not transfer to them. But if the impurity is wet, or the clothes are wet, the impurity does not transfer unless you are certain that the wet impure spot touched wet clothes or vice versa. Therefore, your pure clothes remain pure in all circumstances.
