Is a young man considered disobedient to his father if he leaves the house despite his father's prohibition without a valid reason?

A father does not have the right to prevent his son from going out without a valid reason. The son is not considered disobedient if he disobeys him in such a case. However, if the prevention is for a valid reason, such as the existence of harm to the son or the father, then obedience is obligatory, and disobedience is not permissible. One should be keen on honoring and being kind to the father, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The father is the middle gate of Paradise; so if you wish, you may neglect this gate or preserve it."
