Does a son's departure from an apartment owned by his father—who denies receiving rent and expenses, and prevents the righteous wife's family from visiting his son—constitute disobedience to parents?

You must obey your father and treat him with kindness, for this is the path to Allah's pleasure. However, obedience is conditional upon him not ordering you to commit a sin, as Allah Almighty says: "But if they endeavor to make you associate with Me that of which you have no knowledge, do not obey them but accompany them in [this] world with appropriate kindness." As for his command for you to divorce, you are not obligated to obey him in it, because there is no benefit for him, and it entails harm to you, your wife, and your children. Ibn Taymiyyah was asked about a man whose mother ordered him to divorce his wife, and he replied: "It is not permissible for him to divorce her because of his mother's words. Rather, he must honor his mother, and divorcing his wife is not part of honoring her."
