Is it permissible for a son to obey his parents by divorcing his pregnant wife, knowing that his refusal to divorce her will lead to his expulsion from the family?

The husband must provide an independent dwelling for his wife to remove any hardship from her. The mother has no right to object to her son having an independent dwelling, and obedience to her in this regard is not obligatory, because obedience is only in what is right and lawful, and her demand is an injustice to the wife.

Obedience to parents is not obligatory in divorcing a righteous wife for whom there is no valid reason for divorce. It is advised to be gentle with parents, try to convince them, avoid their displeasure, and seek Allah's help.
