Is it permissible for a non-Muslim to marry a Muslim woman after he becomes convinced of Islam, and does he become a Muslim merely by uttering the two testimonies of faith, or by reading the Qur’an and becoming convinced by it?

If a disbeliever embraces Islam, they shall have the same rights as Muslims and be subject to the same obligations. It is permissible for them to marry a Muslim woman once the pillars and conditions of marriage are fulfilled. A disbeliever enters Islam by uttering the two testimonies of faith, establishing prayer, giving zakat, and acknowledging the rest of the pillars of Islam. It is not obligatory for them to read the entire Quran, but rather they must believe in all of it. If you are a man, you can teach him the pillars and obligations of Islam gradually; otherwise, you should direct him to people of knowledge. If you are a woman, you should refer him to someone who can teach him religious matters.
