What is the ruling on challenging and adventuring with puzzles and problems in Islam?

It is not possible to issue a general ruling on challenges, adventures, and the use of intelligence in solving problems and puzzles, as this varies depending on the circumstances. It may be permissible if it does not involve a Shariah-prohibited act, and forbidden if it involves a Shariah-prohibited act such as gambling, or throwing oneself into destruction, or using intelligence for unlawful purposes.
