Is eating camel meat reprehensible?

Allah has permitted the eating of camel meat, as camels are among the livestock created for benefit and food. This is mentioned in the Almighty's saying: "And the grazing livestock He has created for you; in them is warmth and [various other] benefits, and from them you eat" (Quran 16:5). And His saying: "And the camels and cattle We have appointed for you as among the symbols of Allah; for you therein is good. So mention the name of Allah upon them when lined up [for sacrifice]; and when they are [fallen] on their sides, then eat from them and feed the contented [beggar] and the supplicant" (Quran 22:36). Furthermore, the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and his Companions ate camel meat. It is narrated that he commanded Ali to slaughter the remaining camels after he had personally slaughtered sixty-three camels with his blessed hand, and he included Ali in his sacrifice. Then, meat from them was cooked, and they drank from its broth. Therefore, camels are among the good things, and there is no dislike in eating their meat. There is no statement from the scholars indicating any dislike for eating it.
