A parent's supplication against their child is one of the most serious matters, and it might coincide with a time of answered prayers, thus destroying the child. For this reason, the authentic has prohibited it. A parent's supplication may be answered even if it is unjust, like the story of Jurayj the Monk. One should strive to gain the mother's satisfaction, for in the satisfaction of the parents lies the satisfaction of the Lord.
