Is it permissible to marry a young man despite his mother's disapproval, and is the supplication of a displeased mother answered?

A son's obedience to his mother is obligatory in what is good, and showing dutifulness to her is one of the most incumbent duties. If the mother's refusal of the marriage is due to legitimate and considered religious reasons, then the son must obey her and is advised not to marry the girl to prevent aiding in her disobedience. However, if her refusal is out of stubbornness without acceptable justifications, and the son is harmed by not marrying, then he is not obliged to obey her, and there is no blame upon the girl for accepting him as a husband. In this case, he should try to convince her (his mother) in the best possible manner. A mother's supplication in this situation (without sin or severing ties) will not be answered because it is an act of injustice and sin.
