How can one make up missed prayers when unable to determine their number, while feeling lost and incapable of steadfastness in repentance and self-change?

It is obligatory to preserve prayer and not abandon it. It is also obligatory to make up missed prayers, along with repentance. If their number is unknown, then one should make them up through estimation until certainty is reached regarding the acquittal of one's responsibility. The fatwa (definition) issued is based on the opinion of the majority, which states that making up prayers is obligatory. As for changing one's personality, it requires striving [against one's desires], seeking Allah's help, acknowledging one's shortcomings, rectifying them, and thanking Allah for His blessings.
