What is the interpretation of verses (15-16) of Surah Al-Hijr?

The noble verse: {And We have certainly placed in the sky great stars and have beautified it for those who observe}, presents manifestations of Allah's power and the beauty of His creation. The "great stars" (buruj) are the huge stars and planets, or their constellations through which the sun, moon, and planets travel. The verse describes the beauty and harmony of the universe and invites contemplation of the sky and its stars and planets, so that the observer may realize the greatness of Allah's power. Beauty in the creation of the universe is a deliberate objective, evident in the harmony of all its manifestations.
