What is the ruling on one who says of the Companion Abdullah ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both: "He knows nothing about politics"?

Abdullah ibn Umar was a glorious Companion, one of the greatest and most virtuous among the Companions. It is obligatory to love him and all the other Companions and to be pleased with them. It is not permissible to disparage them, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Do not curse my Companions, for by the One in whose hand is my soul, if one of you were to spend the equivalent of Mount Uhud in gold, it would not reach a mudd (handful) of one of them, nor half of it."
