What expiation is incumbent upon me after I swore to Allah, to myself, that I would not commit a certain sin, and then I committed it?

If the swearer utters the oath and hears himself, then expiation for the oath is incumbent upon him. However, if he only spoke to himself without uttering it aloud, then no expiation is due from him. In both cases, he must repent to Allah for the sin he committed.
