ما هو الصلصال؟
"Salṣāl" (potter's clay): It is fine clay mixed with sand, or clay that has not yet been fired into pottery. It is called by this name because it makes a sound ("yaṣillu") if it is dry and has not been touched by fire. If fire touches it, it becomes pottery.
