Is a wife required to shun her neighbor who taught her to smoke cigarettes, and then took off her hijab, even though the husband sees no issue with it and the wife refuses?

Allah enjoined good treatment of neighbors in His Book, and His Messenger, peace be upon him, did so in his Sunnah. The Prophet also forbade harming neighbors. One must treat a female neighbor well, guide her to good, and forbid her from evil, without being in seclusion with her, mixing with her, or looking at what is impermissible. If a female neighbor has a bad influence on the wife, then the wife must be prevented from sitting with her, in order to preserve her religion and character.
