Allah enjoined good treatment of neighbors in His Book, and His Messenger, peace be upon him, did so in his . The Prophet also forbade harming neighbors. One must treat a female neighbor well, guide her to good, and forbid her from evil, without being in seclusion with her, mixing with her, or looking at what is impermissible. If a female neighbor has a bad influence on the wife, then the wife must be prevented from sitting with her, in order to preserve her religion and character.
