What is the evidence that obedience to parents is only in matters they command, not in orders and prohibitions that unintentionally slip from their tongues?

If parents give their child a choice or recommend an action or inaction, but do not obligate him to it, then he is not required to obey them, and disobeying them is not prohibited. This is because disobedience is only considered a sin if the request is binding, and the lack of a binding request indicates that they will not be harmed by his disobedience. However, the child is obligated to show dutifulness (birr) to his parents by treating them kindly, striving for their benefit, and refraining from harming them. This is a broader concept than mere obedience to them.
