Is a wife cursed by the angels and does Allah become wrathful with her if she apologizes to her husband for not fulfilling his request due to exhaustion or preoccupation, and the husband reluctantly accepts her apology? And does the ruling differ if the husband agrees with a willing heart?

If a wife apologizes for intercourse due to severe harm she would incur, or because she is occupied with an obligatory act of worship like an obligatory fast, she bears no sin, whether her husband accepts her excuse or not. However, if her apology is not for one of these reasons, and the husband reluctantly accepts while displeased, she commits a sin. This is because the husband's apparent agreement in this situation does not negate his anger and the warning in the prophetic tradition: "If a man calls his wife to his bed and she refuses to come, and he spends the night angry with her, the angels will curse her until morning." But if the husband accepts her excuse wholeheartedly, she bears no sin.
