What is the methodology of Ahl as-Sunnah wa al-Jama'ah regarding the attributes of Allah Almighty, and what is the evidence for that?

The methodology of Ahl as-Sunnah wa al-Jama'ah is to affirm what Allah has affirmed for Himself and what His Messenger, peace and blessings be upon him, has affirmed for Him, without distortion, nullification, anthropomorphism, or asking "how"; and their evidence is the saying of Allah the Almighty: "There is nothing like unto Him, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Seeing."
