Is it permissible for the sister to marry another man, despite her husband's five-fold denial of divorcing her due to non-payment of financial dues?
If a man divorces his wife more than twice, she becomes irrevocably separated from him (baynunah kubra), and she is not lawful for him until after she marries another man. If the husband denies the divorce has occurred, but the wife is certain of his divorce, then it is not permissible for her to marry anyone else openly. She must not allow him to have conjugal relations with her, nor should she adorn herself for him, except under duress. She should ransom herself from him if she is able. It is not valid for a sister to marry before she is definitively separated from her husband through clear proof or his acknowledgment. She may ransom herself from him if he accepts.
