A father must be just among his children in giving, by giving the male the equivalent of the share of two females. It is not permissible for him to favor one of his children over the others, unless the remaining adult and mature children willingly consent, without coercion, fear, or embarrassment. If an indebted son needs money, there is no harm for the father to help him with expenses without needing to seek permission from his siblings.
