It is permissible for a person infected with Hepatitis B virus to marry after informing the other party of their illness; otherwise, it would be a prohibited deception (ghish) that grants the wife the right to annul the marriage. The carrier of the virus must not engage in sexual intercourse except with someone who has immunity or has received vaccinations, or by using condoms. They must not donate blood or organs, and must not share shaving tools, dental tools, or nail clippers. They should also not swim in pools if they have open wounds. Furthermore, they should test their family members and vaccinate those who are not infected.
