Is it recommended not to deduct the increase from the dowry if the proposed dowry amount is more than 140 riyals, in order to please the parents and alleviate the burden on the husband, while also desiring to follow the Sunnah?

Facilitating the woman's dowry is one of the reasons for the blessing of marriage, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The most blessed of women are those with the least burden (dowry)," and his saying: "The best dowry is the easiest." The dowry is a right of the wife, so she may reduce it. However, if the parents would be angered, then wisdom is required, and an attempt should be made to advise them against exaggeration in marriage, or to make part of the dowry deferred, which the wife would waive in the future. The aim is to achieve the benefit of facilitating the dowry and gaining the parents' satisfaction.
