Is it permissible to make what was endowed for the mosque an endowment for the school?

The fundamental principle is that it is not permissible to disburse an endowment designated for a mosque to another entity. Scholars have stated: "The condition of the waqif (endower) is like the text of the Lawgiver." However, some scholars have allowed the disbursement of an endowment for what is of greater benefit and utility, even if it contradicts the condition of the endower.
