Is it permissible for the Imam to uncover the face of the deceased woman and look at it, given that she is facing the Qiblah?

It is not permissible for a man to look at the face and hands of a non-mahram woman without necessity, whether in her lifetime or after her death, according to the preponderant opinion of the scholars. As for kissing the deceased, it is permissible for a man to uncover the face of the deceased and kiss it before burial if the deceased is a man or a woman from his mahrams; this is based on what is narrated in Sahih al-Bukhari regarding Abu Bakr's kissing of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, after his death, and the Prophet's kissing of Uthman ibn Maz'un.
