What is the legitimate Islamic way to search for a righteous, committed wife, given that the mother refuses to search, and is it permissible to obtain the guardian's number or a sister's number via the internet or to search via Facebook?
A entitled "How to choose your life partner" was previously issued. Seeking help from trustworthy individuals such as a mother, sisters, relatives, or friends is a good thing, and they should not refuse to assist you, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Allah helps a servant as long as the servant helps his brother." There is no harm in taking the phone number of a girl's guardian to communicate with him. There is also no harm in using Facebook to search for a wife, provided that one is cautious of violating Islamic rulings, and with the awareness of the necessity of inquiring about the girl from trustworthy individuals who know her. After consultation, it is recommended to perform (prayer for guidance), as it has been reported: "He who seeks guidance (from Allah) never fails, and he who consults (others) never regrets."
