Does a man's divorce take effect if he intended divorce by saying "Peace be upon you" to his wife and her family after she had been insolent towards him?

The statement "Okay, peace be upon you" is not among the explicit or allusive forms of divorce, and therefore, divorce does not occur with it, even if one intends it. This is contrary to the view of the Shafi'is. As for the Malikis, they hold that divorce occurs with any word intended for it, whether it is from the apparent or hidden allusions.
