Is "evil" in His, Exalted be He, saying: "from the evil of what He created" meant to include the angels, and what is the interpretation of this verse?
Angels are good, righteous beings created to worship and obey Allah. They are infallible, free from injustice and evil. Allah has entrusted them with various functions related to humans: among them are the Guardian Angels responsible for recording the deeds of the children of Adam, and some who guard the worshipers. There are also those who forcefully extract the souls of disbelievers, and those who manage affairs by Allah's permission.
The verse, "from the evil of what He created" in Al-Falaq, means seeking refuge from every evil found in any created being that commits evil, whether human, jinn, animal, beast, wind, or lightning. It does not mean seeking refuge from the evil of everything Allah has created, for Paradise, angels, and prophets are pure good, and there is no evil in them.
