Can you give me some information about the angels?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

Allah created the angels from light, and they are inherently obedient to Him. They do not eat or drink, and their sustenance is glorification and exalting Allah. They bore witness to the Oneness of Allah, and He chose from among them messengers. Allah commanded the angels to prostrate to Adam in honor of him. Angels are a great creation, and they have various duties and many categories known only to Allah. Among them are the bearers of the Throne, those who descend with revelation like Jibril, Mika'il who is entrusted with rain, Israfil who is entrusted with blowing the Horn, the guardians, the scribes, those who seize the souls of believers and disbelievers, the custodians of Paradise and Hell, and those who strive alongside the believers. Angels descend on the Night of Decree (Laylat al-Qadr), and they do not enter a house that contains a statue, a picture, or a dog. Belief in angels is a pillar of faith, and whoever denies them has disbelieved.
