What is the reality of worship, which is the ultimate purpose for the creation of mankind?

In language, worship (ibadah) means submission and humility. Legally (in Islamic law), it is the act of a servant manifesting obedience to Allah, His love, His fear, and His hope. It also encompasses everything that Allah loves and approves of, including outward and inward sayings and deeds. The purpose of creating jinn and humans is to worship Allah alone. Servitude to Allah is not limited to ritual acts of worship; rather, it is a comprehensive matter that dominates the Muslim's life in all their actions and circumstances, such as seeking sustenance, sleeping, and worldly pleasures, provided that remembrance of Allah is present and actions are done in a way that pleases Him. The righteous predecessors understood servitude in this comprehensive sense, and that rituals increase the spiritual energy for other acts of worship. Every human being is predisposed to worship; they either worship Allah alone or worship something else. The latter could be worship of Satan, or of whims and desires, or of money. The more the heart is attached to other than Allah, the weaker its servitude to Him becomes.
