What is the meaning of servitude in Islam (servitude to Allah and servitude to people)?

Servitude to Allah is what He, the Exalted, has commanded, and for which He sent the messengers. Servitude has two meanings: a general one that includes all creatures, referring to the "subjugated and subservient," and a specific one for believers, who are "worshippers obedient to His command." Worship is a comprehensive term for all that Allah loves and approves of, including outward and inward sayings and actions. It must be performed with sincerity to Allah, truthfulness in compliance, and adherence to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. Servitude to Allah combines love, fear, and hope, and it is an honor for the Muslim, not a humiliation.
