How is the estate of a house consisting of five apartments and another apartment, with a total estimated value of 112,000, distributed among the wife, the mother, six sons, and three daughters?

The mother takes one-sixth, and the wife takes one-eighth. The remainder is divided among the children, with the male receiving the equivalent of the share of two females. If the wealth is something that is measured by volume or weight, it is divided accordingly. If it is merchandise or real estate, it is appraised, sold, and its price is then divided. Matters of inheritance are serious and cannot be settled by a fatwa alone. Rather, they must be referred to the Sharia courts to investigate the existence of other heirs, wills, or debts.
