Does the Islamic forum or section fall under the concept of a "gathering" mentioned in the Prophetic Hadith, such that angels encompass those who participate in it?

The scholars differ in interpreting the hadith, "No people gather in one of the houses of Allah, reciting the Book of Allah." Some scholars are of the view that the virtue is restricted to gatherings held in mosques, while others believe that it includes any gathering of remembrance and knowledge, citing another absolute hadith as evidence. Some scholars are of the opinion that those who listen remotely to lessons held in mosques can also be included in this virtue.
