Is it permissible to perform the obligatory prayer with the intention of achieving success and prosperity in this worldly life alongside obedience to Allah?

It is permissible for a Muslim to offer prayer before making a request to Allah as an act of drawing closer to Him, based on the general meaning of His Almighty saying: "O you who have believed, seek help through patience and prayer." An example of this is the Prayer of Need (Salat al-Hajah), which some scholars have authenticated, indicating the permissibility of prayer for any permissible need. A Muslim does not incur sin if they intend benefits and advantages from acts of worship; rather, they are rewarded according to their intention.
