What is the ruling on masturbation when facing difficulty in lowering one's gaze and the presence of things that arouse desire in the study environment?

The widespread mixing of sexes in educational institutions is forbidden and a door to temptation. It is not permissible to enroll in them except out of necessity or pressing need. One should avoid the causes of temptation and whatever arouses desire, and strive to keep company with the righteous. And whoever is weak and unable to resist the causes of temptation, it is not permissible for him to study there; he should seek another institution free from this forbidden act, for whoever gives up something for the sake of Allah, Allah will replace it with something better for him.
